The pilot group will not allow a single more, so this means the flying only has one place to go when the 50-seaters go away... mainline.

I have a feeling 9E will be the only one left standing in the end and if things get really bad, it will have to be adsorbed.
This is the hilarious thing about the company's proposed "50 ore 76ers" deal. Some still lament the lost MBH protections that supposedly came with that rejected deal. However 450 - 325 = 125 50 seaters currently. That's all they can have. So they offered to replace 125 50s with 50 76's which would leave a net difference of 49 50's that they still have to fly 100% of the "protected" lift in that MBH in the first place. IOW, its an empty threat to begin with. Even if they can (and choose to) keep and staff 125 50's in perpetuity, they are a very expensive seat and an absolutely horrible product.

I'll gladly lose the MBH protections in their deal to keep them from getting more of the viable 76 seaters. Let them try and decimate the mainline as punishment with the remaining 49 50 seaters that makes up the difference.
