I submitted my resume and application last night, and got a call this morning to set me up an interview, so that's good. However, I'm in a weird spot and am wondering if anyone has an answer or opinions about my situation.
My total hours are sitting at a little more than 600hrs, but I submitted the application with a metric for Taxi time conversion (the normal version of the Majors' "1.2 x" or "1.3 x") in the Comments section, since our time is logged only from TO to LDG, and doesn't include taxi time. The recruiter pilot said it made perfect sense, but she's not entirely sure how that works at the moment.
It may be a stab in the dark, and maybe I'm simply asking for validation of my own thoughts, but has anyone been in a similar position recently, whether with PSA or another Regional?
Snagging another 100 hours or so in the next several months shouldn't be an issue, but I'm trying to jump on the wave sooner rather than later.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Most carriers do .3/mil sortie to account for taxi time but that is for hiring purposes. You would need to talk to someone else but my guess is that for ATP purposes they use straight time. Someone in HR or your local FSDO should be able to give you a correct answer... at least more correct than my guess.
