I feel that the powers that be at Delta as well as their pilot group have no respect for us regional guys and feel we don't deserve a flow. Maybe it goes back to the old Comair thing I don't know. I hope your right and I'm wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I don't speak for the entire Delta pilot group but what have you to understand is the majority were hired without flow. They feel they earned the job by interviewing. It's not a question of whether regional pilots "deserve a flow." Look at it as more of a rite of passage, badge of honor, etc. This same thing applies to our new hire training hotels. I can't tell you how many captains I've flown with that don't give a crap about negotiating for them because they didn't get them decades ago.
I think the only way a flow happens is if Delta gets desperate but I would expect push back from the Delta pilot group. Not because you're less worthy but because it's a new concept and change is hard to get used to. In the end, don't take it personally.
