Some at Delta are against the concept of a flow. They are not against you as a pilot. I think you're taking this too personally.

I'll say it again because it's worth repeating. You nor I are in control of this. It is just business and until those in charge see it a different way, the current process is the way it'll be. Shoot the messenger all you want but it's the really of the situation.

I think the bigger problem is the way some of the SSP pilots were treated during the interview process. How would you have taken an interview at US Air where at the end the manager in charge of the hiring tells you "You aren't Airways material, but I hear Spirit is hiring. Oh but while you wait for that keep doing the best job possible at Air Wisconsin flying our passengers around"

That has a way of putting a bad taste in your mouth when you then have to go back to flying (fill in the brand) light. If I'm not good enough to fly at Mainline, I shouldn't be considered good enough to fly at the express/connection carrier either, especially with how much all the airlines go out of their way to hide the difference to the passengers.
