It's definitely going to get interesting in the next few months post S5 and YX merger and bankruptcy exit with a lot of base shuffling and shakeout with staffing needs. The good news is pilots are still leaving off the top of the list, we are getting some 170's back, and this United deal looks promising. I think it's realistic upgrades will be around or slightly below 3.5 years in the next year or so. After that is anyone's guess, but there is a small gap in the seniority list between 2013 and 2014 when we weren't an attractive place to be. If (that's a big if) the movement picks up even more, then it could potentially drop even lower, but there were a bunch of people hired post contract in 2015-2016
Still waiting.... 9/13 hire.... I agree with you though, it is going to drop dramatically next year (contingent on being able to attract FOs). I hope our management team doesn't create the same problem they were trying to fix in bankruptcy again.
