I worked for Mesa for 9 years and 9 months (not that I was counting).
Personally, it worked for me but then again, I was hired in '96 back "in the day" when every regional was charging $12,000 to pay for your own training. Only Eagle and Mesa weren't doing that at that time. If you go with Mesa, you'll have to learn Chinese and very soon. Mesa has declined from what little quality they had. The only quality I liked at Mesa were the crews with whom I've flown. They were absolutely great.
TAKE MY ADVICE - I would recommend you build your time and go with ANYONE else besides Mesa. Trust me on this one. Mesa's growth is headed to China because they can't expand in the USA. My friends that are still at Mesa are bailing out of that place as fast as possible. Many are taking lateral moves. Your quality of life will be NIL at best. You'll be enjoying 8 days off per month on reserve. Have you ever thought about the commuting concept on 8 days off? That equals about 4 days at home PER MONTH!! Unless you live in domicile (which they open and close and move to another at the changing of the wind) - you don't want to do this.
ABANDON ALL MESA AMBITIONS and focus on building your quality of time to get to the likes of the better regionals.
