Ready reserve exists in all bases. Short call time for DTW and MSP is 1hr 45mins. NYC is 2 hours. Right now DTW is "senior" because the company is still building up NYC. Ergo the only movement you have is off the top.
DTW 200 FO movement is stalled completely because there is very little attrition off the top and no one is coming in at the bottom. DTW 900 FO has a little movement off the top as long time FO's either leave or upgrade so there is that.
Best guess is that in the 1st or 2nd vacancy of 2017 you will see some DTW FO spots open up. Not a ton but some spots will be there. There are those who will slam me for saying this but I would rather sit reserve the rest of my career here in DTW than have to commute to NYC. Living in base is 100% Quality of Life (QoL -> you'll see that a lot).
We are not getting "new" airplanes in '17 we are just getting the last of the 200's to bring us up to where Delta wants us to be. I imagine most if not all of those will be going to NYC because right now most trips out of DTW on the 200 send you to NYC. We are capable of taking 700's and E170/175's because the paperwork and manuals are ready but 9E is not ready to staff that yet. It would be quite the stretch for Delta and Endeavor to build NYC up and staff new air frames at the same time.
