all AA flying under the APA is a very desirable outcome. The new scope: if it says American on the outside, its flown by APA pilots. Period end of discussion. (Staple the TSA guys under the AE guys

No more starting over at 1st year pay... longevity is more important than seniority.
No more starting over and over. Doesn't matter if its a 401k, DBP, or DCP, longer longevity means a bigger payout at the end.
No more starting over. Vacation & Pass bennies are functions of longevity, not seniority.
The biggest objection I forsee is AA guys who want their squadron buddies to start in the MD-80, not the ERJ, or who think that all AA guys should be USAF UPT grads, on the Eagle side the biggest objection will be the top 5 percent who don't want to lose their coveted place at the very top of the seniority list.
What a well written and well thought out post. You are right. Merging American and Eagle would set an amazing precident for the entire industry. "If it says American on the side, it is flown by American pilots." No more starting over!!
And I think you are 100% on with the only people who would object to this merger.
Well said.
