That's kind of what I was getting at. I would assume (beyond the students' considerations) that the instructors would receive more than just the weekend off... for at least the X-Mas portion of the holidays.
My thinking was more on the lines of making recruits travel on Christmas Day in order to be in class Monday. That would be ~uncool~ to say the least. (I know, 121 world 24/7/365.)
They could always add a few mandatory Saturdays in January to make up, like I read an earlier class did to get around Thanksgiving. We'll see. Just planning to be away for three months +/- and take anything else as a bonus.
