Yes things were hard. 6 years with a sub par 1999 contract, pilots sleeping in their cars and collecting food stamps. The industry was stagnant for years and the company knew that. Finally getting a decent contact and having it taking away in bankruptcy due to the high costs of merging the three companies. Oh yes taking concessions and 401 hits and soft money hits and on and on.
