Not a huge deal breaker but from what I've read and heard having a one leg commute ups QOL a good bit and gives you a much better chance of getting to base on time.
Also correct me if I'm wrong but in a worst case scenario if I get on a PSA flight I can sit jump seat; weather it's in the cockpit or an FA spot. But if it's another carrier I'm basically just flying standby and would have to have a regular passenger seat.
Right now, CLT is very junior - a month or two maximum.
You can sit in the cockpit jumpseat on any airline, but pilots do not sit in FA jump seats (I know some that have, but it is not normal).
PSA pilots commute on the jumpseat on Delta/United/SouthwestJetBlue flights all the time, and we have their pilots on our airplanes all the time as well. You can also ride on FedEx, UPS, and just about anyone else. AA has agreements with just about everyone in the US, and we have the same benefits as AA.
