That's exactly my point. Pilots are not the center of the universe. And, so the PAC should likely realize that too.

I agree with the earlier comment. Things are market driven. So, the comment about consumers is spot on.

The balancing act is the "regulation side".

Joe Six Pack still wants to go from Chicago to Orlando and back for 79 bucks.

We don't seem to be very good at talking up the "consumer angle" via our political action committee, and so the real crux of it will be on the regulation side. Not the anti-competition and fair trade regulations, but the qualifications, competence, and safety ones. ALPA has always been a strong and successful advocate there. That may be where ALPA choose to wage its fight.

I still think our real fight will be a higher age limit than 65. If it changes again, I think we lose allot of leverage because we will lose the under 40 pilots who will be so fet up they won't wear their ALPA pins, much less wear them upside down.
