total fail... I'll also note you didn't refute four to five year upgrades, didn't get the jets you were hoping for and didn't get the AA contract that was going to spur your growth.
It's not the fact that they're shiny new jets...for that matter quite a few of them have been around a few years. It's the fact they're the bigger RJs that actually have a future if oil goes back up, compare to barely economical and out of favor 50 seater.
Commutair looks great right now because of the strong growth. But how sustainable is that growth over the long run? If you take into account the possibility of the economy going belly up and you staying stuck at the regionals for a while, I would not pick a Regional that is heavily dependent on 50 seaters.
Republic also just got rid of their 50 seaters, so that's a big fleet shrink that's going to elevate upgrade times. But that's in the past now and upgrades will continue to drop.
And FYI- I interviewed with republic and not at one point did they use the new shiny jet as part of their pitch.
