Yeah that's a good way to botch it up, especially if new to 121. Blowing off steam on the weekends sometimes is one thing and kind of necessary sometimes, but too much time partying is a great way to bust.
I actually would take a break most nights while in both long terms. Actually an effective study technique to take a break for a while "to digest and chuck information". Usually after the group study sessions when it was time to find dinner.
I would see and movie or wander the mall for a while but having a car makes a huge difference.
