Reserve Turnback, Section 12. E. 1

A reserve pilot who has been credited with less than sixty (60) hours in the contractual month may be assigned additional flying prior to calling out reserves from home and prior to the awarding of reserve proffers except that such a reserve may only perform additional flying in accordance with this paragraph once per flight sequence. Such additional flying may include multiple legs or an overnight(s), after which such pilot will be released to rest.

Violated on a daily basis, even though it's in black and white.

LTFO

Need I say more? For the uninformed...the company assigned open flying to low-time FO's to comply with the ATP requirements. As a consequence, new-hire FO's were getting 90 hour lines while those senior to them were forced to sit standby. "Fly it and grieve it" is what these senior pilots who now sat upwards of 6-months on standby were told to do, or face termination.

Junior Man

The company now considers it legal to junior man you multiple days out with other reserves available because they anticipate the need to.

The company now considers it legal to junior man you into multiple days. You were on for 4-days? Now you just got junior manned to work 6 days total. We are allowed 2-junior man's per month or 12 total, but the company is "grouping" JM events as one so they don't count against the total.

You want that return day? Not going to happen. So basically plan on having 8-days off. Taking into account that pre-assigned 4AM RAP on reserve, if you commute you essentially just get to come home to re-pack your bags before heading out on the road again. The only status this doesn't affect too bad right now are CRJ CA's...all others are experiencing it on a daily basis.

While not all of the above directly affect me, I am aware of what is going on. I don't know who you are, nor do I care, but the above is reality. If you think I am spewing "hate and vitriol" for saying the truth of what certain managers have turned this place into, then so be it.
A lot of this stuff you are listing is false. Has it happened to you? I can guarantee you that if anyone has had any of this happen, it's most likely outside the norm and not a regular occurrence.

Some of this you are posting is very inflammatory. With your screen name, I think it would be quite easy for you to be found. You might find yourself on a watch list and get yourself in more trouble than you can get yourself out of. You might consider parking the attitude and be more careful.

Default Ltfo ?

Just curious about LTFO. I gather it means low time First Officer, but what is the significance? When is it a problem?

The comany disregarded seniority to build up pilots hours to 1500 priot to the FAA deadline, by building low time pilots high time lines and subjecting senior FOs to reserve and terrible schedules. A grievance was filed and the arbitrator ruled in our favor and awarded everyone affected some money and 2 return days to be removed from flying. Since thst ruling our staffing has been bad and the company has blanket denied people from utilizing the return days in most bases and statuses. Won't affect any new hires, but something that is frustrating to those affected.

You deserve either troll of the month award, or F+H Solutions employee of the month award.

Well, that has changed recently. Supposedly it's now 4 sick calls within a rolling 12 month period gets you a step one advisory. Unfortunately it's actual calls, and not a block of days, so if you're sick you just have to call out for the whole trip rather than individual days. The whole thing is rediculous, because sick time is part of the compensation negotiated in our CBA. If you burn more sick time than you have, you lose pay, so the company really shouldn't care, but it's just part of the screw tightening.
You are incorrect about blocks of days vs calls with sick time. I'm walking proof that the pure number of calls doesn't matter; just the number of occurrences. You're also incorrect about the automatic step one after 4 occurrences.

First of all, I said supposedly. The CP office has told me in the past it is calls. But yet, I have also had over 4 calls in a rolling 12 month period, and not had any problems, so it may or may not be selective enforcement. The stuff about an automatic step one is coming directly from a rep I've talked to. They have been told by the company that the policies have changed, but yet aren't available for us to read for some reason (which is absolutely ridiculous.)

Now moving to threats. This is the essence of Envoy. "Don't like it? Tough, we didn't ask you. Hey, keep your mouth shut. We told you to stop telling the truth. If you don't stop we will terminate your job!"

Avoiding being ord based is a good idea. It flat out sucks. And it's at your 4th call in a rolling year.
