I think part of it is that someone is unhappy (for whatever reason) and thus wants everyone else to suffer as well and is frustrated because the attempts appear to be unsuccessful...
Interestingly I see the exact opposite. I see a bunch of pilots who are desperately trying to persuade everyone to believe what they are purporting to be the truth.
