Are we ****ed yet!!!
I've been spitting mad for a while now. But we've got a sackless union and an even bigger group of guys that loves to tell you "oh the union can't say anything cuz they'll get in trouble". Please. If you don't want to help, fine, but don't spread misinformation and fear.
Here's one way to do it...
From 1999-"AMR Corp.'s American Airlines, facing increased flight cancellations, threatened to sue its pilots' union if a sickout isn't called off by the busy President's Day holiday weekend.
American said it canceled 500 flights, or 22% of its schedule of 2,250 departures Monday as a result of a shortage of pilots. The pilots had been encouraged by union leaders to call in sick if they did not feel "physically or mentally" up to flying. On Sunday, American canceled 240 flights because of a lack of pilots, up from 90 flights on Saturday."
