I got a call around that time, stressed out sounding scheduler offering to make me a company VP and above guarantee for the next 5 years if I could get to the airport in an hour. But I don't want to be called nasty names on the internet so I didn't answer the phone or call back.

Plus I live in Vegas, which apparently doesn't matter when they try to find people to pick up no-notice flights out of DTW. And I'm already flying Christmas because new guy, so I've got all sorts of alibis why that isn't my fault even though I'm DTW based and didn't work that day.
