I know several people that have tried to be union volunteers, but much like any other email to any union members, have heard nothing back. It is sad to say, but people are starting to look more to the company and MK for useful information rather than TR. It should not be like this, but it is.
TRs legacy will be the 2 years with no response to the CCP.
One of my new roles is to make sure that those volunteer forms that get filed out online get to the right people, and early next year I need to revamp that so thats happening better. So to the extent I need to take responsibility for that, I will, but at the same time it's ultimately up to the committee chairs to make use of the people that want to volunteer.
As to your comment about MK vs TR, Dunkin hit the nail on the head, and that's all I have to say about that.
