Honest question from a current mil guy researching regionals:

Ignoring for a moment the obvious differences of aircraft types and domiciles... are there any significant differences when comparing Envoy vs. PSA vs. PDT?

From what I can tell:
All are WO by AAG
All have very similar if not identical sign up bonuses/first year pay
All have essentially the same flow structure to American

Seems like the differences would mostly be in the areas of work rules/QOL, upgrade times, "leadership", or other stuff I'm not aware of. So I leave it to you fine folks. Appreciate any insight you all have...preferably without the super-strong kool-aid or sky-is-falling spin.

Current mil guy (reserves) working for PSA right now. I can tell you for me personally, the SAP and base locations made the biggest difference for me in regards to deciding to come here over Envoy or Piedmont. Personally, the flow has zero bearing for me because I am just trying to rack up more TT to get competitive for UAL. Out of the legacies, AA would be my last choice. I heard so many negative things about Envoys schedules that deterred me from choosing them, and Being based out of PHL didn't really appeal to me with Piedmont. I do know some guys there and they are pretty happy. I'm choosing not to commute though, and will more than likely be a lineholder within 6 months in Cincinnati living in base. That was huge for me.

From what I've read of the contract, the work rules aren't bad at all here. They don't seem to be junior manning people like they are at Envoy.

If you need anything, feel free to PM me. It was a big decision for me a few months ago when I was in your shoes transitioning from active duty, so if I can answer questions, I'll be happy to help.

Cheers!
