Greetings team members. We here at Mercy Hospital are so proud of our 12 consecutive J.D Power Hospital Awards! We continue to lead the medical industry with our cost competitiveness due in part, to our efficient emergency room utilization. As such, we remind our surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to (time permitting) help us do the "mercy turn" where we can prep the operating room for the next patient as quickly as possible. Show us your mercy turn skills by assisting with cleaning all bloodied gauze, used scalpels, forceps, retractors, sweat rags, biological waste, and any other surgical material.
Additionally, as a privilege of working on the Mercy Team, our surgery team members and their families enjoy complimentary access to the operating rooms (space permitting) for their own surgeries. As such in order to continue to enjoy these benefits beyond Jan 1st, all surgery team members are required to watch a short but entertaining video relating to your operating room priveleges. In the video you'll find clarification on important expectations we have of you, such as helping to clean the operating room after a surgery performed on you or a family member.
