The problem is, giving everyone an 40-60% raise will cause people to work less and be less productive. Crediting 70 hours will be equivalent of ~110 hours of pay under the lesser contract. Less incentive to work. It's really better to just hire a crapload more half rate pilots, as long as they can hire, and currently, it appears that they can.
Training at Spirit is not easy. "Half Rate pilots" don't make it through the program. Something you would know if you actually worked here.
Even at double pay, it isn't worth leaving the family on my days off. Now if we got industry standard pay.......... I would work on as many days off as possible, because it would be worth it then. Productivity is based on the compensation.
