You guys worrying about Delta and United doing the low fare thing need to remember song and Ted. They failed. Not because the product was bad or on time suffered or anything. They failed because they took an expensive infrastructure and started selling tickets for less. They still have the expensive infrastructure and are only selling part of their tickets for less. Sure they may be filling seats, but it is still costing them more to do it than it costs us. Eventually they will see this and it will stop. They don't make money off this type of operation and it doesn't make long term sense. JMO

Song and Ted were separate airlines created within the legacy airline staffed with the same pilots and flight attendants from the same seniority list at the same payrates. Yes the cost structure was high, that's why it failed. The difference now is the legacies are using a class of seats on the airplane and they are charging for bags, food, preferred seating and boarding zones ect..,
Different than Song and Ted. As long as fuel is cheap and their international flying doesn't deteriorate, they will be fine and make their billions still. Our product is no longer as unique as you think it is.
