Pilots have zero power to get mechanics, FAs, etc a better contract. So why would pilots waste energy even discussing it. They barely have any power to get their own contract improved. Pilot dues money goes to pilot contract. Pilots should care about mechanics' pay as much as pilots should care about electricians' pay. They are completely irrelevant.
Go spend $125k and a few years becoming qualified to do our job, then whine about us wanting to get paid a livable wage. Until then, stick to fixing airplanes and stay in your lane.
And I'll add to this ^^^^
Pilot contracts are historically settled first with mgmt then FA and other labor groups of the airline.
