Yeah, I guess I am a bit of a conspiricy theorist when it comes to management's actions.

First of all, let's get something straight. Let me perfectly clear on this point.

Jack IS management.

Yes, he is a pilot. Yes, he has a seniority number. Yes, he is a member of ALPA. Yes, he claims friendship with the pilots.

NO, he is not our friend.

Paragraph six of his letter - - "some management pog" talking to the press about being close to a contract... he says that's him. WHO does he think he is telling the press we're close to a contract?!?!? If he thinks it's time for a contract, why doesn't he act as a member of the COMPANY'S negotiating team and "get 'er done"?!?! Our positions are not unreasonable in the least - - The Company could wrap up a deal in 24 hours if they wanted to.

Who does HE think he is to make such statements?!?!? PARAPHRASE: "We'll have something by early summer, or we'll all be in big trouble." And thrown into the same paragraph, same topic, same subject, is his trouble with guys bumping jumpseaters, adding gas, maintenance issues, burning up brakes, etc. What does "etc." mean here? Is he accusing us of job actions?

To him, another 3 months seems reasonable. Sorry, Jack, but that ranks right up there with all the other bologna in the rest of your letters. No, another 3 months does NOT seem reasonable.

TWO YEARS IS TOO LONG ! ! ! !

Do yourself a favor. Read his e-mails for entertainment value, only. When there's somethng that matters about a bid, it will be an FCIF.
