Bill Olsen did say they were going to be negotiating section 27 pay wages in multiple posts in the last week. At one point he did hint at trying to get 7 and 7 closer to current reserve pay, but he also said there would be no "kick ass pay" and in other posts he said he doubted more than 10 percent raises. He also wrote that they are going to try to change the pay scales to have more money on the bottom and top- FOs and very senior since the top guys didn't get as big a bump as the more junior captains on the current contract. Details are definitely not out for another few weeks- those are just things that the man wrote he will be trying to accomplish.

As far as the Gulfstreams he said that he will be concentrating on the in '08.

And as long as the majors are hiring I think NJA will be more of an afterthought for the majority of regional pilots. Most regional pilots have never even considered anything other than the majors and don't have a clue how good NJA really is. We are already drawing many from the regionals, but like the post above says- we can only hire so many per year and we won't really be hiring any more if it passes than if it doesn't. The IBB package is being partially designed to keep a steady flow of high quality applicants coming in now that the majors are hiring again. Eventually 5 domiciles will start to shrink quality applications, it just hasn't really done it yet.
