Reserve is slightly different/more ****ty based on base. Personally, I hated reserve in Dayton. The airport is pretty small and nothing really to do there. CLT is a massive airport and you can walk around all day and pass the time while on hot reserve. A basic break down is as follows.
Dayton - 2 hr call out - Hot Reserve
Knoxville - 1 hr call out - No Hot Reserve
Cincy - 2 hr call out - Hot Reserve
Charlotte - 2 hr call out - Hot Reserve
I thought short call in Knoxville was nice, because you can get in and out of the airport pretty quick and no hot reserve.
Are there "on station" times for Hot Reserve (IE: 0700-1500)? How many do you typically get back to back? Like Monday, tues, wed back to back or do they break them up?
For the 2 hour call out, I am assuming that means you have 2 hours from the call to report to the gate.
EXAMPLE: If I sit HOT RESERVE several days in a month and only FLY 5 hours, am I paid for my guarantee?
EXAMPLE: If I fly 90 hours in a month and sit HOT RESERVE for 5 days, am I paid for only 90 hours of credit?
