For the 2 hour call out, I am assuming that means you have 2 hours from the call to report to the gate.
EXAMPLE: If I sit HOT RESERVE several days in a month and only FLY 5 hours, am I paid for my guarantee?
EXAMPLE: If I fly 90 hours in a month and sit HOT RESERVE for 5 days, am I paid for only 90 hours of credit?
Thanks for answering.
There is a limit to how many times a person can sit hot reserve. I think it is 3 times in a row, and maybe 8 times a month. I have never heard of anyone sitting hot that often, but I guess it could happen. 3 or 4 times a month would be considered a lot.
You are always at least paid guarantee (unless you do something to drop below 75 hours, like SAP below it).
You are also always paid "block or better".
You will likely not break guarantee on reserve unless you pick up flying on your days off or accept a junior man. In that case, you can get 90 hours of credit.
Someone that has actually sat reserve for more than a couple months will have to answer this. My time on reserve was really short, and I never got into the nitty-gritty details of it.
