Latest from the Negotiation Committee:

The Negotiating Committee continued meeting with the company last week to address incorporating Retention Payments into wages. The session was positive and productive. With both sides having completed additional costing analysis, it was clear that without the company investing new money, it would be impossible to achieve our goals of ensuring that no pilot would earn less as we transition to wages (an issue for pilots who earn monthly guarantee like reserves and CDO/CNO line holders) and importantly, restoring senior pilot pay. Our most senior pilots are the only part of our pilot group who have not recovered their wages through the retention payments, and continue to earn about $10,000 less per year than they would have under the JCBA. The company indicated a willingness to invest new money, provided their additional investment yields a contract extension of 2 to 3 years. We are willing to entertain a contract extension, provided we also address other key provisions of our agreement in addition to wages.
