It is 10% better than a coin toss if you include 2nd attempts. If you take 50-50 on the first toss and flipped all losers a second time you'd get 75% i think. Instead you've got 20-30% of nos getting a double no so they dont flip again. So the 70% of no's (who did not receive double no) get a second flip of coin.
So you might be able to argue coin toss numbers if you dived in deep.

It's a coin toss if you assume all the people flipping the coin are the same. Study hard, conform, give it your best and you will probably get the job. Feel entitled and you most definitely won't.
