Yes, some guys get TYS out of training. I did. In training last summer I bid CLT #1 and TYS #2 and got TYS.
If you don't want to live like a college student you might want to throw up a post on Craigslist for room share wanted. You might get lucky like I did.
You will mostly deadhead to CLT to start assignments, but that's not all bad as it compresses what they can do to/with you on the first and last days since they have to get you home.
