Yes, I believe so. If it is an announcement for several positions or mulitiple vacancies that stays open an extended amount of time.
Your status won't change on USA Jobs but you'll get a call asking for locations you'll accept and an interview. They'll refer you to locations that I hiring that you're willing to accept.
