If a person works for 5 years at EDV, then leaves to go to DL, but is 57 when arriving at DL, theoretically he/she will never receive flight benefits from either company. (Of course, a person would be S3 after retiring at DL, I wasn't suggesting we keep EDV level of service, just "tenure".)

I ask because I know of two guys in the past couple of months who turned down a CJO at EDV to go to PDT because they DO offer longevity. I'm sure it's not a primary ]consideration for everyone, but people who are smart enough to think about their future are paying attention.
