So what did you hear relating to 2017?
He was asked something to the effect of if pilot budget would change or if raises had already been factored in and he made it clear there would be no change. To his credit he is answering the analyst questions fairly. There is no reason for jetblue pilots to expect a contract any time soon. At one of the base meetings it was brought up that while negotiations are progressing a full negotiating cycle will take years. We haven't even touched mediation and arbitration. Jetblue knows this so, again, why would they pay now what they can pay in 3-5 years? Because a few pilots are unhappy? You mean to tell me jetblue is going to reward us with an industry leading contract while idiots are still picking us RSA, VDA, extending and flying on their days off?
We sent a message with the "summer of love" ina previous life but this group, 1193, are more concerned with culture than retirement.
The message is there and the instructions are clear. Do your job! But guys diving into seat to clean amount all the other crap the juicers do and here we sit. Without a contract and industry leading in the race to the bottom benefits and pay.
This is the reality. It's not sugar coated. The juicer mentality is killing this pilot group and jetblue is laughing all the way to the bank.
