Also wondering- If you are assigned a base and you actually like it and don't want to move to another base, what are the chances that the company can still make you move?
Most of the time a new base opens a majority of people are junior that go there initially. That way they can fill the slots. But eventually it could become less junior.
As far as bases go, if you like the base you are in and do not want to move, make sure that base is #1 on your base bid. The chances of being displaced are slim. Although it did happen with the opening of CVG initially and DCA. However you will get back to your original base pretty quick.
