Maybe they bid it at a major, I don't see too many 20 year guys bidding reserve here by choice. There is one 11 year DTW 200 captain that takes CDO reserve to work as little as possible and works a second job during the day. Outside that, I don't know anyone that could easily hold a line here that regularly bids reserve here instead. The reserve rules and staffing are just nowhere close to where they'd need to be for guys to WANT to subject themselves to it routinely. We've had a lot of guys bid to NYC to try to get off reserve, and even one bid back to FO to get off reserve but stay in DTW on the last award. While small improvements have been made over the years, reserve at this company is still largely a pile of hot garbage.
Not saying its for everyone but if you look at msp pbs award page 1,3,4
there are RSV and CNO awards. think that's 15-20 yr CA's
I think most non jr RSV bidders don't want to fly that's why they bid that
way.
