Wondering how they calculate the "time away from base" to pay per diem. Is it-
1. From the time you report for duty until you come back to base at the end of the trip?
2. Chocks off to chocks on at the base?
3. Time to land at another airport on your first leg until you land back at base?
4. Something else?

It is the start of your trip to the end. You are paid per diem while you are at work and on overnights.
