Everyone in the recruiting department is top notch. I am sure there is a lot more to this story. Or there isn't and something about your attitude, demeanor or body language said red flag.
I have been on the recruiting team at two other organizations and if an individual was putting anything less then their best foot forward during their entire recruiting process to all parties they interfaced with, I would not recommend they move forward in the process. If the best they could do was subpar how are they going to be when they are actually on property.
Take this as a learning experience and be 100% focused on making a good impression and your interview from the initial phone call with someone from the company until you are back inside your own home. If you have to pay for your own cab, extra night of hotel, call in sick for your current gig. It's worth it. You are interviewing to work at American Airlines.
