once off OE you will build time and experience watching others fly the aircraft from the jump seat. Operating less than 200 hours a year most prospective employers will not consider you current which IS happening to pilots I know currently trying to get out of Omni.
Just met a new B777 FO who has been off OE for 2 months and has yet to do a takeoff or landing since OE. Just does paperwork and watches others fly. He has already applied at regionals with bases that will work for him.
