I've been at PSA for about 3 years. I got in right at the beginning of the big hiring wave. By my most conservative and realistic math, I'm still looking at an additional 4 years before I flow. So if I got in at the front of the wave and it'll be 7 years for me to flow, and you're getting in a the back of the wave,........ I think you can see that the recruiters (5-7 years) are being a bit too optimistic.
Actually that's not true. The recruiters are being WAAAYYYY to optimistic.
Now queue PSAHELP to come in and defend the recruiters and tell us how attrition will pickup from all of the majors greatly increasing their hiring and tell us how the flow will increase from 5/month to 8/month, thereby making it "possible" that all of the new hires will flow in 5 - 6 years.
In fairness, PSA is not a bad choice if you're considering joining a regional airline. But only an uninformed idiot would come here because of the flow.
The recruiters told me plan for about 8 years, IF attrition to other carriers keeps up. If it's purely flow then plan for about 20/25 years.... LOL
I didn't come for the flow. It's nice to have in my back pocket, but I'm shooting for Delta, United, or Fedex.
