Depends on the reason(s) for each individual. (Or excuse, if that be the case). But in my first year, I never had a missed trip, and only called in sick one time. Couldn't clear sinuses for about 8 days.
Dunno what a section 19 is.

Finally, I have received reports that we have a few probationary pilots that are on like their 3rd or even 4th missed trip and even a couple of Section 19s. Call me mean, but I say get rid of them. What sayeth though about the matter?
