You will get a prorated portion of the ALV for April in your new category for each day your schedule shows training. That will be pre-posted as credit for PBS purposes but check their math closely on the PBS pre-award because it is manually done and is not infrequently done so in error.

After the training portion of your schedule is complete, you will "shadow bid" over your OE footprint as well as for trips you are eligible to fly in the month as a qualified pilot in the category after your OE footprint.

Tip - find your OE footprint and bid as much credit as early in the footprint as you can. Those trips will drop for OE and you will be paid the higher of your award or your assigned OE.
