This is a question for the Union.

I would say yes if you didn't indicate otherwise. The only other caveat I can think of is if someone junior to you is already in the same position only at a different base. I think they could be converted before someone who has to go to training.

Yes, all things must be the same.
You and junior guy going into same equipment, and same base on same AE.
Rooster, if the junior guy is on the same equipment he/she is upgrading into, then they may only be required to do a short course. You can PM me if you'd like, I have just went through this exact situation, a junior guy converting almost 6 months before me on a CA position.... definitely worth looking into!!$$$$

If a junior pilot, who holds an AE from the same posting and to the same category or a
16 VD from the same posting and from the same category as a senior pilot, is converted
17 before the senior pilot, the senior pilot will be pay protected at the rate applicable to the
18 higher paying position for the hours paid to him in his current category.
19 Exception: Such senior pilot who is converted after such junior pilot will not be pay
20 protected if: a. he required training and the junior pilot did not,
22 b. his conversion was delayed due to his failure to complete training, or
23 c. his training is delayed:
24 1) at his request, or
25 2) at his request under Section 22 D. 8., or
26 3) due to his:
27 a) sick leave,
28 b) military leave of absence, or
29 c) disability.

Well that's good news. I'm guessing there are quite a few others in the same boat as the last crew resources newsletter indicated that they were planning to convert 7ER-Bs at the back of the window for this last AE.

I know the projected training dates from this AE have been released and give you an idea of what month you'll train. How are notified of our actual training start date? Generally, how far out are we given that information?

You usually get a letter in the mail about 4-6 weeks prior to training which also includes your thumbdrive, cockpit posters, and kool-aid letter.

I got my letter this past Thursday, the 23rd, for training starting April 12th. So 4-6 weeks is apparently arbitrary. I already had an idea of the schedule though by going on the Sim Schedule under my new fleet type.

The training material came a few weeks ago, separately.

Got all my stuff in the exact same order as you with similar training dates.
