Let me clear things up for you. Cleaning is never required as a pilot at JetBlue. NEVER required. It is only a requirement as a condition of flying as a non-revenue employee. It applies to all employee groups. While I think it sucks, it's how it's done for now. So if you don't want to clean then don't non-rev on JetBlue. Or don't come to your interview lol
While that is technically correct, management has fostered a "culture" here where flight attendants are told to put pressure on pilots to clean between flights. They have fostered animosity between the two work groups with this wedge issue, leading to poor CRM to the point where FAs will exact revenge by delaying bathroom breaks for pilots in flight for instance.
It isn't required on paper, but the hell if they aren't trying to make it required in practice.
