Pay attention to your show time vs departure time. A certain PITA scheduler once tried to assign me a trip with a modified show of 40 mins prior to departure. When I called them out on it, they said "fine, we'll push the departure back 5 minutes". I told them no problem, they'll just have to post the delay on the website and I'll look for that to occur. "Fine, you're released from the assignment".

Note: the bunch that have been hired in the last year are certainly an improvement in people skills and professionalism. They just don't know the job well yet. As far as I know, the aforementioned scheduler moved on or was reassigned (rhymed with "Vabe").
