Same type of thing with DSM. Good places to eat and a short ride to the airport. If I never have to sit through another Golden Touch ride to and from Manhattan that would be fine with me. With your seniority and the variety of 737 flying in EWR, I would think that you could spent a good bit of the cold weather months in FL / Caribbean. Otherwise just do the LAX-EWR stuff and let the vectors and reduced Mach assignments start right over.....ICT.
