The downfall to this is that you lose two days per trip to commuting. If you have 12 days off, and 4 trips, you will spend 8 days (half a day at a minimum, most of the day at worst) commuting back and forth, so you really only have 4 days off per month. And when I was commuting home the next day after my trip ended, I was leaving for the airport at 0430 to get on the first flight.
