I truly don't get how you can call yourself a professional, maintain that you deserve more money, and at the same time claim that you don't need a college education. Unless of course you don't have one and need to rationalize your decision.
It's 2017, not 1967. College is expected of everyone, get over it.
I don't have the need to call myself a professional. I do hold dear, my ethos, regarding my duties and responsibilities as a business owner to my clients, Captain, instructor, and Examiner to my fellow crew members, passengers, and students.
Understand 50SeatsofGrey, University did'nt prepare me to be a, PIC, TRI/TRE, nor other areas in airline management... Operations, Head of Training, Dir. of Flt. Stds., and the list goes on.
To the masses who desire to fly with the airlines.... Get a college degree. Get a degree in a field other than aviation. Earn a post graduate degree in Law, Medicine, Accounting. Start a business. Never be in a position to be reliant on an employer. Keep in the back your mind that a furlough without a game plan is perilous and can be catastrophic.
Again, a four year degree, an airline pilot does not make.
