I think that's what he was saying. If it meant getting a jump seating flight attendant on or another non-rev without cockpit privileges then he'd do it. I've had this situation happen. I had the last seat in the cabin and an OAL flight attendant was trying to commute home. If I would have taken my seat in the back she wouldn't have made it home so I sat up front so she could get the last seat in back. Just need to be 100% certain they send the non-rev down and not some other last minute passenger.
