So go somewhere else? I have zero sympathy for guys who complain when they get a nice break between the school house and the line. You'll be dying for that time off soon enough.
Perfect example of what takes place here all of the time. Two different perspectives, both right, but will get ugly trying to win an argument.
1- new hires want to fly asap to digest and practice what they've learned in the school house.
2- veterans are comfortable in the plane, processes and using the systems and welcome being home.
Move on...
